The Ondas Global Podcast Awards announced this Wednesday the winners of the third edition of these awards dedicated exclusively to this sector. One of them has been the Murcian Xuso Jones, who, together with Ana Brito, was nominated in the category of 'Best Host or Hostess' for his podcast 'Poco se speaking!'.
At 6 p.m., the general secretary of the Ondas Awards, Jaume Serra, revealed the names of those chosen by the professional jury, made up of José Gutiérrez, Elena Neira, Ashley Frangie, Luis Alcázar and Laura Ubaté. In total, in these awards, organized by Prisa Audio and Cadena SER and which aim to “give visibility to the industry and recognize the work of excellence of its professionals”, 16 awards have been awarded, divided into three areas.
The winners have been chosen from among the 70 finalists in the 14 categories announced last March. This year, 1,242 applications from 19 different countries were submitted, a figure that broke the participation record. It should be noted that in the Ondas to ¡Podcast Revelación' and to 'Career in the podcast industry in Spain and Latin America' there were no nominees.
'Best Host or Hostess'
'Little is spoken!', presented by Xuso Jones and Ana Brito, has won over 'Bad People' by Victoria Martín, 'Creativo' by Roberto Mtz, 'Cuarto Millenial' by Andrea Compton and Lalachus and 'The Wild Project' by Jordi Wild, who were also nominated in the 'Best Host or Hostess' category. The professional jury has decided to award this award to this podcast “for having acquired its own joint voice and generating an atmosphere and tone with any guest in just seconds of conversation. For provoking reflection on ideas of interest and extracting from what is entertaining some of the most original and unexpected responses from both famous and not so well-known people.
Well-known faces have passed through the microphones of this program, such as David Bisbal, Maxi Iglesias, Ruth Lorenzo, Jorge Javier Vázquez, Bárbara Rey or Esperanza Gracia, to discuss taboo topics that are rarely talked about with great naturalness, sincerity and to demystify theories.
And the winner in the Best Host or Hostess category is… 🥁🥁🥁@XusoJones and @elshowdebriten for 'Little is said!' 👫🏻
