With almost two months left to start the 2024 Copa América, the teams already have their clothing ready with which they will seek continental glory. The German Adidas will have the most t-shirts with its brand in the tournament, with 8.
However, a selection that was still uncertain about who would be the brand that would dress it in the important event was the Uruguayan. After 17 years of relationship with Puma, it was announced that they were breaking up this year and the team launched its own t-shirt.

The “garra charrúa” took advantage of the U23 Pre-Olympic to present the t-shirts that commemorated the 100 years of their first Olympic title. The shirts would be produced by the same federation and cost $589,000 Colombian pesos. There was even much speculation that this would be the clothing worn by the senior team in the following competitions.
This Wednesday, on their social networks, the Uruguayan National Team announced the end of the process opened on March 15 with the purpose of obtaining new clothing. The American brand Nike was chosen to dress Uruguay in the next Copa América.
In the short statement, the South American team announces that the Uruguayan Association decided to take Nike as the new supplier. However, it does not give further details of the signed agreement. This news goes against the rumors that positioned Adidas as the one chosen by the AUF.
So far, Nike has not made any statements and it is expected that, in the coming days, the “skin” that the Uruguayan team will wear in the oldest continental tournament in the world will be presented. The Uruguayan will be the fourth team dressed by Nike in the tournament, the other three are Brazil, the United States and Canada
In the first phase of the Copa América, Uruguay is in group C and will face Panama, Bolivia and the host United States.
