The minister of STF (Supreme Federal Court) Flávio Dino said that the persistence in attacking also minister Alexandre de Moraes, in addition to being “unworthy”, is harmless. Dino shared this Wednesday (April 10, 2024) the note from the President of the Court, Roberto Barroso, who spoke out after the owner of X (former Twitter), Elon Musk, made a series of posts against Moraes and the Supreme during the weekend.
“Insisting on unfounded personal attacks against Minister Alexandre de Moraes, in addition to being an undignified procedure, is harmless”, declared Dino on his profile on X. For him, Barroso's note is a very clear message for any eventual “interested, self-interested, nefelibates or opportunists”.
The president of the STF said on Monday (April 8) that “judicial decisions can be subject to appeal, but never deliberate non-compliance”. Despite not having mentioned Musk directly, the billionaire had stated that he would remove all restrictions imposed by Brazilian courts on user profiles on the platform.
Barroso informed that all companies operating in Brazil are subject to compliance with the Federal Constitution. He claims that there is “nonconformity” with democracy and “instrumentalization” of social networks.
