The picture of what happened yesterday at the hydroelectric power plant of the artificial lake of Suviana, in the Bologna area, is starting to become clearer, when a terrible explosion it occurred on floor 9 of the structure. Fifteen people were in the premises affected in those tragic moments, three who, unfortunately, lost their lives. Who are the victims.

Yesterday, in the early afternoon, a strong explosion occurred in the rooms located on the 9th floor of the structure, causing serious damage and involving several workers who at that moment, as emerged in the last few hours, were engaged in a phase of testing of an alternator.
The difficulty in reaching certain places, located approximately 40 meters below the surface level of the lake and completely immersed, made it difficult to establish with certainty who the people involved in the accident were.
At the moment we are talking about three confirmed victims, three workers aged 36, 45 and 74 years old, all business travelers who had arrived at Lake Suviana for the aforementioned testing. The first, the youngest of the three, was called Vincenzo Franchina and he was from Sinagre, in the province of Messina, in Sicily. The 45-year-old man's name was instead Pavel Petronel Tanase, was originally from Romania but lived in Settimo Torinese, in Piedmont. The third, the eldest of the three, was called Mario Pisani and he was from Taranto.
Then there are five injured, all in serious condition and urgently transported to hospitals in Bologna, Parma, Cesena and Pisa. Their testimonies will help to understand what happened in those tragic moments.
Another sore point is that of missing. It would be about four workers aged 37, 57, 59 and 69. The hope of rescuing these people, as also confirmed by the firefighters involved in the difficult operations, is almost nil.
