“Receita Saúde” service will be aimed at independent professionals in the area and seeks to reduce the incidence of fine-mesh
The Federal Revenue Service must launch the “Receita Saúde” application by April 15th. The objective is to make it easier for healthcare professionals to issue receipts for care.
Among the workers qualified to do this are doctors, dentists, psychologists, occupational therapists and speech therapists. The measure is included in the Federal Revenue’s Annual Inspection Planning for 2024.
The body presented this Friday (April 5, 2024) a document with measures related to the topic. Here's the complete of the report (PDF – 998 kB).
According to the Tax Authority, the receipts issued will be automatically uploaded to the pre-filled declaration for 2025. The service will also bring a profile of the professional's representative, who can grant a power of attorney for employees to issue a receipt.
One of the objectives is to make it difficult to commit fraud with false receipts and the sale of receipts. The Undersecretary of Inspection, Andrea Costa Chaves, stated that use will only be possible if the professional has an active registration.
Chaves emphasized that the purpose is “improve the quality of the pre-filled declaration and reduce the incidence of fine mesh” of those served by these workers. He also said that 1/3 of the retentions concern independent health professionals.
