The head of the Investigative Committee instructed to establish all stages of financing the terrorist attack in Crocus

The head of the Investigative Committee of Russia (ICR), Alexander Bastrykin, instructed to establish all stages of financing the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall. The department reported this to Lenta.ru.

Bastrykin held an operational meeting and heard a report from the investigative team on the progress of the investigation into the criminal case of the terrorist attack. He instructed his subordinates to continue to establish in detail the circumstances of the crime and take comprehensive measures to detain those involved in its commission – the perpetrators, accomplices and organizers. Separately, he emphasized the need to establish all stages of financing a terrorist attack.

Earlier, the Investigative Committee linked the terrorist attack in the Crocus City Hall near Moscow with the conduct of a special military operation (SVO) in Ukraine. The investigation noted that an expert study was carried out on the terrorists' mobile phones, which they tried to destroy. The criminals chose Crocus to carry out the terrorist attack on the instructions of the curator who led their actions. On the morning of February 24, one of the terrorists sent the curator screenshots of images of the entrances to the concert hall building, as well as pictures of the access roads to it. Photos of people in camouflage uniforms with the flag of Ukraine against the background of destroyed houses and a Ukrainian postage stamp were also found on his phone, the department added.

Previously, Russia demanded that Kyiv arrest and extradite those involved in terrorist attacks committed on the territory of the country.
