Pushkov on the NATO mission in Ukraine: the creeping introduction of the alliance continues
The head of the Federation Council Commission on Information Policy and Interaction with the Media, Alexei Pushkov, appreciated the statement by Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski on the creation of a NATO mission in Ukraine. He expressed his opinion in his Telegram-channel.
“Mission first. Then coordination. Then study. Then training,” the message says. Pushkov considered Warsaw’s decision to be a creeping penetration of the North Atlantic Alliance into Ukraine, which is taking an official form.
On April 4, Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski announced that NATO countries had decided to create a joint mission in Ukraine. At the same time, he pointed out that the alliance does not directly enter into conflict. According to the minister, thanks to the mission, a much larger number of soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces will be trained on Polish territory.
In turn, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs Andrei Klimov linked the creation of the NATO mission in Ukraine with the 75th anniversary of the alliance.
