Algerian Abdelhak Ben Sheikha, the coach of Tanzania's Simba, confirmed that his club is facing its Egyptian host, Al-Ahly, in search of a positive result.
Al-Ahly will meet Simba on Friday in the second leg of the quarter-finals of the African Champions League at Cairo Stadium.
A draw with any result is enough for the Egyptian team, the “defending champion,” to advance to the semi-finals in the tournament in which it holds the record for the number of wins with 11 titles, following its 1-0 victory at Simba Stadium in the first leg last Friday.
Bin Sheikha said in a press conference that they played a good match in the first leg at their home stadium in the city of Dar es Salaam, and wasted many opportunities, but in the end, Al-Ahly succeeded in winning with a goal from a single opportunity.
He added: We came to Egypt and we know the difficulty of facing Al-Ahly on its home field and among its fans. We know its strength and ability, as it is the title holder and the record holder in winning the championship.
He said: Despite all that, we are not afraid, and we have nothing to lose, and we are playing to deliver a strong performance and a good result, and without a doubt we dream of qualifying for the semi-finals of the tournament.
