Time for news for Renault Captur which changes face and is enriched with new contents and new engines in the name of electrification. We saw first-hand how Losanga's B-segment SUV has changed and after having told you in preview about the upgrades of the French model, here are 5 curiosities about the new Renault Captur.
New design
On the new Renault Captur we find some of the stylistic features that characterize the new range of the transalpine brand. In the center of the front there is the Nouvel'R logo with a closed grille which is crossed by very expressive 3D elements. The headlights are also LED, with the semi-lozenge daytime running lights providing a distinctive light signature.
New setups
The range of Losanga's compact SUV changes, with three new trim levels: Evolution, Techno and Espirit Alpine. The latter, the sportiest, introduces specific Ice Black colors for the badges, with dedicated 19'' wheels, an aerodynamic blade at the front and specific bumpers in matt gray at the front and rear.
On Renault Captur there is the mild-hybrid
The engine offering includes electrified and more traditional solutions. We start with the 1.0 Tce three-cylinder with 90 HP and 160 Nm of maximum torque combined with a six-speed manual gearbox, then we find the 1.3 Tce four-cylinder turbo with 160 HP and 270 Nm with mild-hybrid technology and EDC automatic transmission. LPG also remains in the range, with the 1.0 Tce three-cylinder turbo with 100 HP and 160 Nm of maximum torque combined with a six-speed manual gearbox. Finally, the Full Hybrid E-Tech, with the 1.6 that delivers 94 HP combined with the 1.2 kWh battery, the 36 kW e-motor and the second HSG electric motor for a total power of 145 HP and 205 Nm of torque . All combined with the smart automatic gearbox with dog clutch.
Cutting-edge technologies
The passenger compartment of the new Renault Captur becomes more refined and technological, with the introduction of the new OpenR Link multimedia system which is based on Android Automotive 12 and Google integrated software. Thanks to a specific partnership with some developers, some third-party apps will also be available, such as Waze, Amazon Music as well as specific applications such as Sybel and L'Equipe pour Renault. At the center of the dashboard stands the new 10.4'' touch display with vertical orientation combined with the 10.25'' Driver Display.
There is always plenty of space on the Renault Captur
Boot capacity remains one of the best in the segment, with the Renault Captur offering 616 litres, with the rear bench that can slide forward by 16cm maximizing the load even without folding down the rear seat.
