Suzuka: a special event
The Japanese Grand Prix it has always been a special event for Formula 1 drivers: the characteristics of the Suzuka track are combined with the enthusiasm, exemplary sportsmanship and passion of the Japanese fans, elements deeply felt by the drivers. It is no coincidence that many of these recognize the GP in the Far East as their absolute favourite.
An all-Japanese livery
Among these there is also Fernando Alonso, twice winner in Japan in Suzuka and on the Fuji circuit, which hosted the Circus in the two-year period 2007-2008. On the occasion of this year's edition, the first which will take place in spring unlike all the others held in the autumn period, the two-time world champion wanted to pay homage to the host country with a special helmet.
The Spaniard will take to the track with a helmet made by Bell Racing inspired by the nature and Japanese art. A novelty that adds to that recently presented by a former team of the 42-year-old such as McLaren, which will participate in this weekend with a particular livery of the single-seater. Furthermore, last year too, Alonso competed in the Japanese GP with another design of his helmet.
