The former US president and businessman Trump owns the Trump International Golf Links course, which was opened in Aberdeen, Scotland in 2012, where he promised large investments.

In Aberdeen, Trump planned to build a 450-room hotel, 950 holiday apartments, 36 golf villas and 500 houses for sale in connection with the field.
The price for the construction project would have been more than one billion euros.
Hobday, who was the project manager of the project, has spoken to Trump, because the promised investments never materialized.
“I feel cheated. I am ashamed that I and the whole of Scotland fell for it,” Hobday criticizes the BBC On the Trumped podcast.
Hobday accusing Trump of being a liar who had no intention of keeping his promises.
“All he wanted was a golf course and that was it. I don't think he would have carried out the project even if he had had the necessary money.”
According to the former project manager, Trump assured that Scotland needs exactly his project.
“Trump was willing to fight the environmental crisis and created the illusion that Scotland needs this. However, he never intended to complete the project.”
the BBC in the podcast, Trump International Scotland denied the accusations and said that the company has invested “several million pounds” in the Aberdeen field and “kept its promise to build the field into one of the best links-type fields of all time”.
