The “Atesh” partisans from Ukraine claim to have stolen documents. Russia's fleet is already retreating in the Black Sea.
Kiev – The Ukrainian partisan group “Atesh” (German: Fire) claims to have captured secret technology from the Russian Black Sea Fleet. A spokesman for the group told the Ukrainian newspaper Kyiv Postit was possible to steal the “technical documentation” of an improved homing device for Russian naval ships from inside the defense company NPK Pusk.
The group posted excerpts of the documents on social media. The information cannot be independently verified. “Atesh” developed after the annexation of Crimea by Russia’s president Wladimir Putin from the Crimean Tatar civil rights movement.
Ukrainian Defense Ministry to receive secret documents from Russia from “Atesh” partisans.
The partisan spokesman told the portal that the documents had been stolen by an employee of the arms company. The data was passed on to the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense so that the “strengths and weaknesses” of the new weapon system could be analyzed there.
The target detection is designed to detect attackers as early as possible and, if necessary, to ward them off. So if the Ukrainian military got the documents and could draw conclusions from them, that could be the case Russia inflict further damage on the Black Sea Fleet.
The only successful front for Ukraine: Russia's fleet is withdrawing in the Black Sea
The Black Sea around the Crimean Peninsula was recently one of the few fronts in the Ukraine war, where Ukraine was still able to report successes. That's how it worked Russian naval command partially evacuated the occupied city of Sevastopol at the end of 2023 on Crimea.
In March, the Ukrainian military reported that about a third of Russia's Black Sea fleet had been destroyed, largely echoing statements from British intelligence services. The port of the southern Russian city Novorossiysk is now said to be using barges to protect itself from attacks by Ukrainian naval drones to be protected.
Russia fails to catch partisan group
According to the British, he is the political head of the “Atesh” group Guardian Mustafa Dzhemiliev. The politician and Rada deputy has been one of the leaders of the Crimean Tatar national movement since Ukraine's independence from the Soviet Union. He currently sits in parliament for ex-President Petro Poroshenko's party.
With the annexation of Crimea, he turned offensively against Putin and temporarily deviated from his commitment to non-violence in the fight for the recognition of his nation. He told the British newspaper in 2023 that the members of “Atesh” were “underground” and that Russia was having big problems catching them. (kb)
