Juan Carlos Osorio was part of a very successful stage for Atlético Nacional. He arrived at the club in mid-2012 and achieved a three-time League championship, unprecedented up to that point in short tournaments (2013-I, 2013-II and 2014-I).

Osorio returned to Nacional in 2019, but his second stage was far from being as successful as the first. He did not win any titles and left office in October 2020, after a streak of poor results.

Osorio gave an interview to the Telemedellín program Cambio de Frente, in which he referred to the team's bad moment. “I have mixed feelings, it is a club that I am very grateful to.
