As we have already reported, Gearbox Entertainment is no longer part of Embracer Group: Take-Two Interactive has acquired the Borderlands developer for a sum of $460 million. In the press release through which it confirmed the acquisition, the company revealed that Borderlands 4 is in development at the studio, but that is just one of the games in development.
According to Take-Two Interactive, Gearbox has six games “in various stages of development”, one of which is described as an “exciting new intellectual property.” Of the five sequels, one is obviously the aforementioned Borderlands 4, while another is Homeworld 3, which is scheduled to launch in May.
The other possible games from Gearbox Entertainment
Talking about other games that might be in development at Gearbox Entertainment, according to some reports too Tiny Tina's Wonderlands 2 is reportedly in development. Remember that it is a spin-off of the Borderlands saga, with a more fantasy and less sci-fi edge.
Alto, Gearbox has been talking about developing a new Brothers in Arms game for years: perhaps this will be one of the projects. Brothers in Arms is a saga of first person shooter (but also with secondary projects of a different genre). The last time the name of the game was used was in Brothers in Arms: Win the War Pinball, which is an additional content for Pinball FX.
