Italian The Air Force said on Friday that it had used Eurofighter fighters to identify an aircraft that had flown over the Baltic Sea unidentified. There were two identification flights and they were made from the Malbork air base in Poland. The news agency Reuters reported about it.
After the operations, the Italian fighters returned back to the base. The Air Force did not elaborate on what happened.
According to Reuters, the radars detected the Russian plane, which, however, did not respond to requests for contact. The supposed Russian plane flew over international waters.
