The paramedics tried to resuscitate her, but there was nothing they could do: she was only 8 years old
Dramatic accident on the outskirts of Rome. Three cars were involved, one 8 year old girl he lost his life. It happened in via Pontina Vecchia, in the municipality of Ardea.
Yesterday, March 28, towards the early afternoon, three cars were involved in a road accident: a Lancia Lybra, a Mercedes 220 and a Mercedes Class A. The dynamics of what happened is not yet clear, the three drivers were in proximity to the intersection between via Pontina Vecchia and via della Pescarella.
A little girl of only 8 years old, who was on board the Class A together with her mother and her younger brother, is died instantly. The parent was transported to hospital, he is in shock. The lifeless body of the minor was transported to the morgue of the Tor Vergata hospital, it is currently available to the judicial authority which could requestautopsy examination. The latter will have the aim of establishing the exact cause of the little girl's death.
Three other children were injured and were rescued by 118 health workers, including the 5-year-old brother of the dead girl. He reported, according to the first medical bulletins, a broken arm. He is located at the Gemelli in Rome and, fortunately, his life is not in danger.
Another adult also needed transportation to the emergency room. He suffered multiple traumas and several major injuries. He is currently hospitalized in intensive care department.
After the alarm reached the single number, 118 rushed to the scene with various emergency vehicles. The paramedics, at the sight of the 8 year old girl, have tried to revive her. Unfortunately, all their attempts were in vain.
Local police officers also intervened on site and carried out all the necessary investigations in order to reconstruct the dynamics of the road accident e establish responsibilities of the three drivers. The Fire Brigade also intervened to carry out rescue operations and make the road safe. All vehicles were seized.
