Kate Middleton breaks the silence: “I have cancer, I have started chemotherapy”
Kate Middleton is being treated for cancer, she announced it herself in a video message. The princess, 42 years old, was hospitalized in hospital on January 16 for “major abdominal surgery.” At the time of the operation his condition was thought to be non-cancerous as no tests had confirmed the presence of the tumor. The princess also said she broke the news to George, 10, Charlotte, 8, and 5-year-old Louis, telling them everything would be “fine.” “It took me a while to recover from major surgery and be able to start treatment,” she explained. “But more importantly, it took me time to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that was appropriate for them, and to reassure them that I will be fine,'' she continued, speaking as a mother. “As I told them , I am doing well and getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that will help me heal; in my mind, in my body and in my spirit,'' she said.
Speaking about her husband, Prince William, Kate explained that having him by her side was a “great source of comfort and reassurance”. Adding that she was equally comforted by “the love, support and kindness that has been shown by so many of you, it means a lot to both of us.”
