Tim Willits, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Saber Interactivehas decided to speak publicly about the status of the games in development at the company, confirming that all announced projects will continue, despite the break with Embracer Group. We are talking in particular about Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, John Carpenter's Toxic Commando and Jurassic Park: Survival.
Play it safe
This morning Saber Interactive and Embracer Group announced that they have parted ways. The news immediately caused a stir and concern for the numerous projects under development at the company, in particular the three mentioned.
Pressured by questions, Willits decided to intervene publicly to clarify the matter: “Now that Saber is separated from Embracer, I have received many questions regarding the status of our already announced projects. I am happy to confirm that we are still working on several titles, including Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, John Carpenter's Toxic Commando and Jurassic Park: Survival. We are so excited about these games and can't wait to show more to everyone.”
Now, the message only talks about known games, so we don't know if any unannounced projects were sacrificed in the transaction. In any case, it is at least good news compared to all that usually comes from the Embracer disaster.
