Volkswagen Group Italia with a letter dated 11 March addressed to the Dealers and Service Partners of Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, Cupra, Skoda, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles and signed by the CEO Marcus Osegowitsch announced that from 1 July 2024, Volkswagen Group Italia will join the group of distributors led by Porsche Holding Salzburg. Porsche Holding Salzburg is the company of Volkswagen Group responsible for the distribution of Volkswagen Group products in Austria and many other European and non-European markets.
The letter states that Porsche Holding Salzburg over the years it has widely and effectively demonstrated how it is possible to combine the typical strengths of a National Sales Company and those of a private importer, creating an efficient governance model but above all capable of seizing the opportunities that a profoundly transforming market can reserve.
The collaboration with Porsche Holding Salzburg does not require Volkswagen Group Italia to change the way the Network is managed. Furthermore, Marcus Osegowitsch it is certain that thanks to Porsche Holding Salzburg, Volkswagen Group Italia will be able to further improve and be even more ready for future challenges and an even stronger partner alongside the Network.
