Dragon Ball will have a marathon in honor of Akira Toriyama, but don't get excited just yet

The unfortunate death of Akira Toriyama took the Japanese animation and manga industry by surprise, especially because in the fall we will have Dragon Ball Daimaa work in which he was especially involved in the design of characters and mechas.

Beyond Japan, Akira Toriyama has not stopped receiving tributes for the work of dragon ball. In Latin America, demonstrations were held in public squares to pay tribute to this author.

Now, the next tribute to be held is a marathon of Dragon Ball Kaiwhich sounds pretty good, until you realize that it will only be on Toonami, the thing is, this is only for the United States.

Let's not lose sight of the fact that in Latin America, Warner Channel is the one that has the broadcast rights for this anime, but they have not dared to make any kind of special broadcast. The only ones who got on the train were those from Azteca 7 with the transmission of movies from the 90's of this anime.

On the other hand, the fact that this is being done in the United States also means that there is a lot of affection for the series and for obvious reasons this marathon is going to be held.

What will happen to Dragon Ball?

With the death of Akira Toriyama it is possible to think that dragon ball will go through some kind of pause. However, the first preview of the DB Super manga has already been published, which will give rise to the preview of the sketches of the next chapter that will pit Gohan against Goku.

Then, we also have the anime of DB Daima which will be presented in fall 2024. Apparently, this series is already fully produced and is only going through post-production.

We also have video games that did not depend so much on Akira Toriyama, although the truth is that he did get his hand in. Right now we can only wait and see in whose hands each product ends up and if it could have some kind of conclusion.
