Mattia Ottaviano, the 36-year-old driver from Tuglie, who died in an accident at work while testing a Ducati Panigale on the Porsche track in Nardò (Lecce), died from the serious injuries and multiple traumas suffered in the fall. This was established by the autopsy carried out by the medical examiner Roberto Vaglio. The autopsy examination revealed no evidence that could support the theory of a sudden illness that caused him to jump across the lane of the track and violently hit a Porsche Panamera which was proceeding at a reduced speed. The test driver of the car, a 52-year-old man from Novoli, is under investigation (as a matter of course) for manslaughter and vehicular homicide.
