Paragon: The Overprime did not get the response hoped for Netmarbleand so the publisher announced that the game will close its doors on April 22nd. This will sadly conclude the Early Access journey that began in December 2022.
As you may remember, The Overprime marked the return of Epic Games' MOBA after four years from the closure of the servers, but this second attempt was also unsuccessful and the development team wrote a message to users to communicate the end of services.
“We would like to express our sincerest gratitude for the love and support you have given us over the past year and three months, starting with Early Access on December 8, 2022,” Netmarble wrote. “However, today we present ourselves to you with some unpleasant news.”
“Since Early Access, Paragon: The Overprime has been a work in progressas we continued to explore, experiment and think of different ways to meet the expectations of our Warriors.”
“After careful evaluation, however, we concluded that we will not be able to provide a stable and satisfactory experience in the future. For this reason, we have decided to end the service on Monday 22 April 2024.”
“We are deeply sorry about this unexpected and unfortunate interruption. We cherish the encouragement and support you have provided us thus far, despite our shortcomings.”
The details of the closure
Netmarble provided, in support of its message, a calendar with details on Paragon: The Overprime going out of service. So here's how we'll proceed:
- End of Service: Monday, April 22, 2024 at 12:00 AM (EST, UTC-5).
- End of Purchases: Thursday, April 22, 2024 at 00:00 (EST, UTC-5).
- Official Communities (Discord/Brand Site) and Social Media Ends: Monday, April 29, 2024 at 12:00 AM (EST, UTC-5). – Please save anything you want to keep before the end of the service. Official communities and social media channels will no longer be available once the service ends.
- Customer Service Closes: Thursday, August 22, 2024 at 12:00 AM (EST, UTC-5).
