Hamilton half satisfied
With the lights off, Mercedes also gave some important signals. In terms of pace, the W15 often provided interesting feedback, even if not at the level of Red Bull and – apparently – Ferrari. I wonder if Lewis Hamilton he will be looking at the promising data of the SF-24 as a “taste” of 2025, the Briton is certainly satisfied with the work done on the 2024 car. But not completely.
Hamilton's words
“We know we have work to do and that we are not yet where we want to be. However, we knew this would be the case during the test. We have a great foundation to build on. Over the next few days we will work hard to analyze all the test data. I can't wait for the season to start next week and we will go into it in good shape“, these are Hamilton's words to Mercedes channels.
“Overall, it was a great test. I'm really proud of everyone who works at the track and in the factory. Every single woman and man has worked tirelessly, both in Brackley and Brixworth and here in Bahrain. It's extremely encouraging and great to see everyone working so well together. The concentration, determination and communication are the best I have ever seen“.
