Moderate to strong winds, drops in temperature and rain are expected at any time of the day
A Brazil's navy issued a hangover warning, starting at 3am this Thursday (Feb 15, 2024), until 9am on Friday (Feb 16). The forecast is for waves 2.5 meters high.
According to the system Rio Alerton Thursday (Feb 15), the weather in the city of Rio de Janeiro will be unstable, with cloudy to overcast skies and light to moderate rain at any time of the day.
Moderate to strong winds are expected. Temperatures are expected to drop compared to the previous day, with a minimum of 19 °C and a maximum of 27 °C.
In case of a hangover, it is recommended:
- avoid swimming in the sea;
- avoid practicing sports at sea;
- do not stay at viewpoints on the coast or in places close to the sea;
- fishermen should avoid sailing during the hangover period;
- people should avoid cycling along the coast if the waves are hitting the cycle path;
- It is not recommended that people enter the sea to rescue accident victims. In this case, the Fire Department teams must be contacted by calling 193.
