Cities in the interior and Greater SP suffered from heavy rains; in Bauru, water volume reached 35.1 millimeters in 40 minutes
Storms caused flooding in several cities in the State of São Paulo this Wednesday (14.Feb.2024). In Bauru, the heavy rain lasted around 40 minutes and recorded a water volume of 35.1 millimeters, second the Unesp Meteorological Research Institute (IpMet).
With the accumulation of water, Avenida Nações Unidas in Bauru was flooded and sections close to the Municipal Theater were flooded. Asphalt and cars were damaged.

In cities in Greater SP, such as Carapicuíba and Itapevi, the problem of flooding occurred after heavy rain that hit the region in Tuesday (Feb 13).
Carapicuíba City Hall he said, through the Secretariat of Works and Civil Defense, which began work in the most affected areas. The city recorded more than 100 millimeters of rain, a number well above normal.
Itapevi City Hall issued rain warning this Wednesday (Feb 14). The recommendation is for the population to look for safe places during the rainy season.
