Western intelligence services tried to recruit employees of the Russian diplomatic mission in Poland, said the Russian ambassador in Warsaw, Sergei Andreev. Writes about this RIA News.
He noted that diplomats were approached with an offer to cooperate with Western intelligence services. “In vain, colleagues reacted as expected,” the ambassador emphasized. According to him, highly qualified employees work in the consular section of the embassy, consulates general in Gdansk, Krakow, and Poznan.
“We regrouped and mobilized to carry out our tasks in new conditions,” he emphasized.
Earlier, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said that Russian diplomats abroad are faced with recruitment attempts by the intelligence services of Western countries. According to her, employees of Russian diplomatic missions receive push notifications on their work computers with a call to “make the right decision” in light of Russia’s special military operation (SVO) in Ukraine.
