The mayor of Nizhny Tagil called the beating of a girl by migrant children an ordinary event
The beating of a schoolgirl is not considered something special, said the mayor of Nizhny Tagil, Vladislav Pinaev. In his opinion, what happened is an ordinary event.
At a meeting with high school students as part of the “EVRAZ: People of the Future” project, the official noted that attention to the incident was focused due to the interethnic component. At the same time, Pinaev drew attention to the fact that 290 comments from Ukrainian accounts were left under the message about the beating of the girl.
Subsequently Pinaev statedthat his answer was too emotional. “This is due to the fact that in comments on social networks they distorted information about the conflict and presented it as interethnic. There were also threats to me and my loved ones,” he wrote.
The mayor of the city emphasized that he had control over the incident from the first day, but he did not give it a legal assessment, since this is the competence of the investigative authorities.
The beating of a schoolgirl was filmed by the boys' mother
The incident occurred shortly before the New Year. On December 29, two migrant children brutally beat an 11-year-old orphan in front of School No. 56, while the mother of the teenagers was filming what was happening on video. The girl who fell under the hands of the brothers was their classmate; she was hospitalized with abdominal injuries and a concussion.
Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin took control of the situation. A criminal case has been opened against the teenagers, and an administrative case has been filed against their parents for improper upbringing of children.

The children's ombudsman in the Sverdlovsk region, Igor Morokov, commenting on the official’s words, said that any conflict between children is not an ordinary and banal thing. “We looked into it, met with all the participants: the girl and others. There is a socio-pedagogical history in this conflict,” he said.
At the same time, Morokov refused to name the cause of the conflict, since it concerns the personal lives of schoolchildren, teachers and parents.
