On the occasion of Safer Internet Day, the day dedicated to promoting safe and responsible use of the web and digital technologies, IIDEA, the association representing the Italian gaming industry, announces the relaunch of the site Everything about Videogiochi.it. This portal is aimed at parents, educators and anyone who wishes to deepen their knowledge of the world of video games, with the aim of maximizing their educational and cognitive benefits. Created in collaboration with PEGI SA, the independent body responsible for the classification of video games at a pan-European level, the revamped site offers a wide range of resources, including guides, video tutorials and recommendations, designed to accompany parents towards an informed choice of video games for their children.
In line with the commitment to online safety, the relaunch of the site takes place in the context of Safer Internet Day, highlighting the importance of parental supervision in online gaming. The portal highlights the importance of selecting games appropriate for the age of minors through the PEGI classification and provides practical tools for activating parental controls, capable of limiting in-app purchases, managing playing time and monitoring online interactions . Thalita Malagò, General Director of IIDEA, expressed satisfaction with the launch of the new platform: “We are pleased to reveal, during the Safer Internet Day, the new interface of Tutto sui Videogiochi, our parent-friendly portal: today allows us to reiterate useful information and advice for a safe gaming experience. The recommendations on the portal, together with active listening to your children and open dialogue with them about video games, allow you to make the most of their potential and take advantage of the benefits they can bring on a cognitive and educational, as well as social, level”.
Furthermore, the Tutto Sui Videogiochi site will offer content and good practices for a positive family gaming experience also through social media, in collaboration with parents Daniele Marzano and Mickol Lopez, known on Instagram as @guidasenzapatente. The initiative is part of the broader “Take control” campaign, launched by IIDEA last December, which aims to provide parents and educators with simple rules for optimal management of video games in the family, enhancing their educational and entertainment role .
