The first images of the new Williams
A few days after the presentation of the new Haas, the second team in chronological order to have unveiled the livery of its car for the 2024 season was Williams. The Grove team, whose primary objective is to constantly progress to return to the glories of the past, unveiled the FW46on which the two drivers reconfirmed at the end of last year will sit: Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant.
New philosophies
Author of 27 points out of the 28 total obtained in 2023 in the Constructors' standings, Albon expressed very positive comments on the livery of the single-seater, but above all he highlighted the desire to get back to work to further increase last year's results to contribute to the rebirth of the company founded by Frank Williams at the end of the 70s: “After a very positive year, we hope to be able to capitalize on our progress in 2024, working hard to make good progress in terms of performance – he has declared – we asked a lot of the team and the factory to get this car where it needs to be, and we have too slightly changed the philosophy of the machine, so I'm interested in seeing if we can improve on some of the features that it has historically. An adjustment in driving style will be necessary, but I am convinced that it will be a change for the better“.
2024 will also be a different year for Logan Sargeant, who made his debut in the top series last season, scoring just one point in his home race in Austin, in the United States GP: “After unveiling this fantastic livery, I can't wait to get behind the wheel of the FW46 for continue to grow as a rider – he added – I had a fruitful off-season which allowed me to prepare both physically and mentally for the year ahead. Taking the time to properly reflect on my rookie season, I have learned many lessons and gained experiences that can only benefit me in this new season. I know what my goals are for this year. I will look to consolidate the progress made since I joined the Williams Racing family. I intend to contribute more to the success of the team. Everyone at Grove worked tirelessly to deliver the FW46 over the winter break. I can never thank them enough for their hard work and the support they have given me. We hope we can achieve some great results together in 2024.”
