Ambassador in The Hague Tarabrin ruled out the possibility of a Russian attack on Europe
There can be no talk of a Russian attack on European countries, as the military in the West is repeating. About it RIA News stated the new Ambassador to the Netherlands and Permanent Representative to the OPCW Vladimir Tarabrin.
The diplomat pointed out that Russia has no interest in fighting with NATO countries. He clarified that there is no geopolitical or economic sense in the military confrontation, and there are also no territorial disagreements. Tarabrin pointed out that statements by Western politicians about the Russian threat are aimed at their own citizens in order to use anti-Russian paranoia to achieve financial spending on weapons and assistance to Ukraine.
Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the Chinese threat is the most serious in the long term, and the Russian one is the most pressing. In addition, Iran and North Korea are of concern. He noted that these countries are uniting, bypassing sanctions and pressure, and weakening the global financial system based on the dollar.
In January, it became clear that the German Ministry of Defense was developing a defense plan to contain Russia for the first time since the Cold War. Berlin is preoccupied with developing a plan “in response” to the Ukrainian conflict, and the main goal of this defense strategy is to counter Russian sabotage of transport and energy infrastructure.
