A valid alternative to Minecraft
Dragon Quest Builders was published for the first time way back in 2016, on PS4, PS4 and PS Vita, subsequently also arriving on Nintendo Switch in 2018 and in 2022 on iOS and Android. In short, the Xbox and PC versions were missing, with the latter finally in the pipeline. The sequel, Dragon Quest Builders 2, arrived in our shores in 2019 on PS4, Switch and PC, with the Xbox One version to follow in 2021.
Dragon Quest Builders is a spin-off of Square Enix's main series, set in an alternative world where the evil Dragonlord has gotten the better of the heroes and deprived humans of the ability to create, forcing them to live among the ruins. In the role of the “Legendary Builder”, or a human not affected by the curse, we will have the task of bringing back hope, building villages, defeating monsters and helping people. The game pivots crafting, sandbox and adventure elementsproving to be a valid alternative to Minecraft, as also explained in our review of Dragon Quest Builders.
