According to an unidentified Japanese “insider”, there would be a real risk that Dragon's Dogma 2 go to 30 fps on PS5 and Xbox Serieswhich could bring with it the usual controversies, even if at the moment there is nothing confirmed.
The issue is reported by PCFocus, which cites this Japanese insider mysterious without however providing further details, which makes the whole issue very dubious, even if obviously it is not something new, given the quantity of titles that at launch do not reach 60 frames per second even on the new generation.
According to the site in question, the rumor would be credible looking at the hardware requirements of the PC version of Dragon's Dogma, which are in fact quite demanding and could demonstrate the presence of a possible problem with the CPUs of PS5 and Xbox Series
Comparison with PC requirements
On PC, according to reports on Steam, the configuration aiming for 30 fps still requires a Ryzen 5 3600 CPUwhich would be in line, if not on a higher step, compared to the processors of PS5 and Xbox Series
The question has a certain logic, but the connection cannot be so automatic, considering that on consoles a superior optimization is usually carried out which makes the hardware characteristics more efficient, therefore there is no perfect match between PC and console regarding the relationship between hardware and performance.
For these reasons we take the issue with a grain of salt, awaiting any specific information from Capcom, which has not yet arrived. For the rest, we learned that Dragon's Dogma 2 will have only one slot for manual and automatic saves and that the tokens have been changed based on fan requests.
