Marc Hynes returns to Hamilton's team
Lewis Hamilton he would like to return to 2021 as soon as possible. A year which has given him a tremendous sporting disappointment, but which at least has seen him as a great protagonist in one of the greatest challenges in the history of Formula 1. If on the technical side it is likely that Sir Lewis will have to still waiting for more favorable periods, in the most personal one the Mercedes driver welcomed back his old manager Marc Hynes, from whom he had separated in 2021. The news was announced by the Telegraph.
Unlike the manager who replaced him – Penny Thow – Hynes will focus exclusively on race activities, accompanying Hamilton to the GPs and supporting him on the track, confirming how the seven-time world champion put all the pieces of the puzzle back together to finally win his eighth title.
“Lewis is looking forward to the start of the new Formula 1 season and will be working with Hynes, his long-time friend and former colleague, who will provide his experience to assist Lewis on track. Marc will focus exclusively on racing activities and will support Lewis to return to fighting for the top“, these are the words of a Hamilton spokesperson to the British newspaper.
Who is Hynes
Hynes is a former British Formula 3 champion, a close friend of Sir Lewis who acted as the English champion's right-hand man in the five-year period 2016-2021, in which the #44 won four consecutive titles, the last in his palmarès. After Hynes' farewell, Hamilton welcomed Thow into the team, a Canadian talent manager whose company (Copper) had involved him in two projects with Apple TV+ and in the F1 film starring Brad Pitt. The agreement came to a natural end in December 2023.
