There's a rumor that's been bouncing around the internet these days and it concerns the possibility that a remake Of Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag is in development at Ubisoft, starting from some clues, which to be honest are decidedly vague.
This is more of a theory than a real rumor, but based on details that actually emerged from some corriculum from various Ubisoft developersworking mainly on Skull and Bones, a title that actually has several points in common with the famous chapter of the series.
According to these LinkedIn profiles, various developers working on Ubisoft's pirate game are also working on a new project linked to the Assassin's Creed series but not yet announced and it is natural to think that, given the experience gained, it could be a title close to this type of game.
An interesting theory
The testimonies on the existence of this project start more or less from September 2023, therefore the issue would be rather recent. The only element that leads one to think of Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag is the simple logical connection with the setting of Skull and Bones, considering also how the latter seems to have been born from a sort of sequel or spin-off of that chapter .
The question is credible but obviously should be taken as an absolutely unconfirmed rumor, based exclusively on assumptions, although this mysterious unannounced project linked to Assassin's Creed seems to really be in development. Considering that Black Flag has been played by more than 34 million people, it's possible that it will be considered for a new project of some kind.
