Air transport | United Airlines found loose bolts on its Boeing 737 MAX 9 planes

The US authorities had ordered the planes of that model to be inspected.

Carrier United Airlines said on Monday that it had discovered loose bolts in its Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft during preliminary inspections.

US authorities had ordered the planes of that model to be inspected after the plane's window panel exploded on an Alaska Airlines flight on Friday.

Due to the incident, the plane had to make an emergency landing due to a pressurization problem, but the passengers on board were not injured.

United Airlines said they found, for example, bolts that needed additional tightening. The company has the largest fleet of Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft.
