The president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) received this Monday (8.Jan.2024) the former mayor of São Paulo and current secretary of International Relations of the capital of São Paulo, Marta Suplicy (no party), at Palácio do Planalto. The meeting was to discuss Marta's possible affiliation with the PT to run as vice-mayor on a ticket with the federal deputy. Guilherme Boulos (Psol-SP) in this year’s elections. According to one of the participants at the meeting, deputy Rui Falcao (PT-SP), there is optimism about change. For him, it only depends on the former mayor accepting it and that “the path is laid” for her to be part of Boulos' ticket.
