A continent, a country, a dystopian society. The comment
Of course, one's daily life is not easy company in a member nation of the European Union. A certain level of social solitude together with a perception of isolation, a particularly widespread condition on the Western side, generate an existential state that Durkheimalready at the end of the 19th century identified it as anomie, understood as the absence of social norms.
For the French sociologist, individuals are also the product of complex forces (functionalism) hence the pre-eminence of collective reality (society) over individual peculiarities; today by complex forces we must mean political ones, far and distant from individual freedoms, from the needs of the person, from happiness and affliction, from utopias and from reality which cannot be reported nor coincide with the mediocrity of a domestic politics and with pretension and the inconclusiveness of a continental political aporia.
Ineffectiveness and intellectual vulgarity, as described by José Ortega y Gasset in the 1920s, pervades European politics in which the latter, as an omnipresent presumption, obscures and fades the inabilities, exalting the vainglory and megalomania of those who allow people to believe in the omnipotence of political action.

Examples of this are the alleged fight against drug consumption and the losing fight against femicide. Evidence and intelligibility of results and numbers save us from prolonging ourselves, leaving space and time for considerations and reasoning on actual realities not rewarded by the lights of political correctness, of the complacent press campaigns, of the universal chatter of “that's what everyone says and does”.
And so, no sleep would have thundered Puccini in his romance, no sleep, sadly, we whisper when we think about the condition of our elderly in what with hypocritical kindness are called retirement homes, pensioners or Pious Homes. On a more or less regular basis we learn that the police forces have carried out a raid on one of these institutes.
Good, but the question that arises is: given the proven spread throughout the country of mismanagement and malfeasance regarding the hospitality of the elderly, why doesn't the Government carry out a general inspection throughout the country, thus at least giving rise to hope for a better future?
But politics, evidently, stuck in political jargon and demagogic chatter, is not at all projected towards a concrete, substantial social change, and then, the pro-Europeans in Brussels of our elders don't care absolutely anything. They are a burden on social security, sometimes a burden on the families themselves, always a burden on the welfare state. In fact, if the Gauls sacrificed men of particularly advanced age to Mercury, it is equally true that modernism sacrifices old age to the silence of solitude.
And what about the conditions of the prisons? Of people's detention, in other words of their lives? Here, yes, there is some functional interest in the political struggle to be understood as a work to win consensus. In fact, the crux of the interest is reduced for the Right to privileging conditions, interests and visions of the prison structure, for the Left to winking at the prisoners as such. Domestic politics and pro-Europeans care nothing about the living conditions, the suffering, the hopes, the crumbling structures, the discomfort of the agents.
And here it is beyond belief It is right to remember Marco Pannella's tireless and solitary interest in prison conditions, today carried forward by Rita Bernardini, Elisabetta Zamparutti and Sergio D'Elia with the AssociazioneNessuno Tocchi Caino. But what is the real interest for politics in reforming what needs to be reformed and preserving what needs to be preserved? Specious question? Surely! The factors, in fact, are not in these terms because the centrality of the interest is not for the person and their well-being but for priorities identified in relation to the ability to generate other-directed consensus
This is how we find ourselves Emergency room, new frontiers of western salons, no longer considered welcoming oases for emotional stability and immediate first aid. As an alternative to strengthening structures and human resources, the use of agents and soldiers is envisaged for the purposes of deterrence. Here, the greats of the public res have identified the path towards human healthcare, perhaps too human, at a time when, for the peace of mind of patients, clinical and diagnostic tests are postponed for months and years. Anything but organizational redesign, anything other than introducing ethics into the healthcare universe. Remembering the health care reform of 1978 and the birth of the Local Health Authority, how many expectations, how much fervor, how much intellectual work to ensure the centrality of the person, today, however, we see a failed abortion with decades-long consequences.
In our opinion, in the healthcare sector, it is the time has come to limit, at least, some regional competences, to relocate them to the government sector if we do not want to continue to add regional criticalities with health failure. But to our politics this matters little, to that of Brussels absolutely nothing. Yes, we certainly don't find the centrality of the person in the relationship with the Revenue Agency, appropriate additional heading “Collection”.
It is indicative that on the first web page we find: Failure to comply with the vaccination obligation – Sanctioning procedure, in a period in which the planet is thinking about the possible usefulness, ineffectiveness and damage of the anti-Covid vaccination, the Agency, with government approval, identifies unvaccinated people for the collection of €100. We are in political blindness, that is, a three-monkey state, to poor practice in the commitment of this branch of its. The collection of money cannot be a moment of conflict between the citizen and the State in which the person feels that he is a stranger, which is adverse and distant from an entity to which he himself belongs. It is unthinkable that the State coercively collects sums owed to it and does not use equal diligence for those to be repaid.
It would be appropriate for investigative journalism, if there were one, to delve into recurring rumors on instructions given to the competent management of the Revenue Agency and INPS, so that payments due for arrears are postponed, indefinitely, refunds and similari, in exchange for ad personam salary awards. At the same time, an interest from the judiciary would be desirable if it were not busy waging war with politics, awaiting its organic reform which has been in the making for a few decades. Yet, in the meantime, we could start by strengthening the structures and its staff. But this seems particularly complex both for our politics and for the pro-European.
On the contrary, the school has enjoyed dozens of mini reforms, many of which are not at all significant, for the benefit of each Minister of Education in order to enhance their surname in the ministerial annals. The last one, Valditara will be remembered for the consistency of its insignificant measures chasing every news story with the hiring of experts of every type and nature to the detriment of the teachers themselves. Bullying incidents? Sociologists and Social Workers go go go, feminicides? Schools packed with experts in emotional, sexual, sentimental and any other education. Sweetheart, at your age you didn't understand that we are moving towards a meaningless school, those who can help the generations are study and culture. What humanity can and should know is there, not in the chatter about the infinity of nothingness. But for our politics, for Brussels and the UN Agenda 30, this means speaking in the past and they are in modernity.
It's true, we are in progress, everything is modernizing, it is enriched, everything is inclusive and in this the Catholic Church is now at the forefront, unfortunately with fewer and fewer faithful and even fewer priests. Christianity is moribund but political messianism is bursting, the language has become correct, the presence on the scene is constant, we could continue for a long time, but what would be the point? In conclusion of this thought, he was interested in underlining that the Church also became political as a social phenomenon with no correspondence with the majority of the people. For some it is still significant to enter an empty church, if you find it, and pray to the Being with a light background of Gregorian chant, but this no longer pertains to community religion only to the person-Divine relationship.
Universal coincidences: towards the end of the third century AD with the fall of the Western Roman Empire, Paganism also ended, after seventeen centuries this West and this Christianity faded in unison. And only Rome is barely interested in this, Brussels and the UN absolutely nothing. Our thinking began with a reflection on solitude and anomie in a Western country and ended with a mini reasoning on the Catholic Church in relation to the sense of isolation which does not find significant support even in this sphere. We lingered on the Old, on Prisons, Emergency Rooms and Healthcare, Judiciary, Revenue Agency and Schools, all societies in need of restoration and financial flows, in the country of perennial reforms let's not call them reforms, the last reflection wants to be on the PNRR.
Acronym repellent for its pompous presumption and for the use of the term resilient, completely new to our language and practically adopted by the globalist philosophy of Davos which understands it to mean opportunity in the presence of a crisis. Word not understood by the population or considered to reinforce the first R. It would be interesting if politicians commissioned a survey on the understanding of that R, we would thus understand the distance between the people and politicians. But, beyond that, why were the approximately 200 billion of the Plan not largely diverted to the aforementioned national emergencies? Road roundabouts, bowling alleys and everything else could have waited for the time of a happier country. We as followers of liberalism want to remember the simple but complete words of Ludwig von Mises: “The liberal doctrine does not promise men joy and happiness, but simply the maximum possible satisfaction of all those desires that can be satisfied through availability of objects from the external world”.
