Dad Gino’s last hug to his daughter Giulia Cecchettin: “It was difficult, but I felt her close to me like never before!”
The whole family of Giulia Cecchettin after the funeral, he is trying to move on with life. They have no intention of forgetting the 22-year-old, but they just want to try to smile again, given the great pain they feel over losing her.
Unfortunately, the girl lost her life on the evening of11 November, after going out with her ex-boyfriend and friend Filippo Turetta. The latter is now found in the district house of Verona.
He couldn’t accept that she could leave him and above all that she didn’t want to get back together with him. That’s why that evening, after an argument, she decided to put an end to his life.
Are approximately 20 blows which he inflicted on her and then hid the body in the area near the Barcis lake. He tried to escape, but only 7 days later, when he ran out of gas, officers found him stopped on the highway in Germany. When I was able to read the articles about the attack I only felt pain for my daughter, who was there, alone, scared, without me being able to help her.

I wanted to see her afterwards. The first time, two days ago, I touched her leg. I saw her wrapped hands and had the desire to hold them. Before they closed the coffin I managed it, it was difficult but I felt her close to me like never before.
Only a few hours after the coffin was closed, on December 5th the family had the opportunity to say goodbye to the 22 year old. Along with them, there is also more 10 thousand people.
The older sister Elena has already returned to Vienna, where he studies. Brother Davide at school and dad Gino is trying to to move ondespite the pain. In another interview with The printthe man said:
I can not sleep. Every morning to find strength I go into Giulia’s room and hug her pillow, because it still smells of her.
