EA dispute between a couple on board a Lufthansa plane has led to a stopover in Delhi, India. The Airbus was on its way from Munich to Bangkok when the argument between the German man and the Thai woman continued to escalate. Indian media reports this.
According to The Telegraph newspaper, the woman approached the pilot and complained about her husband’s behavior, saying he was “threatening” her. She asked the pilot to intervene. The man then allegedly became even angrier and shouted at his wife. He did not follow the crew’s instructions, so they contacted Indian air traffic control and asked for a stopover.
The Airbus landed in Delhi at 10:26 p.m. local time. The man had to get off the plane there. According to Indian newspapers, Lufthansa is in contact with the German embassy. A message from the airline stated that the stopover was due to an “unruly passenger”.
The flight to Bangkok continued about two hours late. The reason for the couple’s argument was not known, but according to Indian media, it was resolved at the terminal.
