At 4pm Hamas began freeing some hostages: for now there are 24 prisoners including 13 Israelis, 10 Thais and a Filipino. They were freed in Egypt and immediately visited by the Red Cross. Then they were handed over to the Israeli military and then arrived at the Israeli Air Force base in Hatzerim: two of them were taken to hospital for some checks.

Hana Katzir, 77 years old, taken with her son Elad from the house of Nir Oz. She too, a former nanny with some health problems, uses a walker, takes medications and needs treatment. For a moment she was also left for dead, but fortunately she was a mistake.

Her husband had recognized her in a video released by Hamas and thanks to the location of her phone he was able to understand that she was in Khan Younis. Her two little girls were also released with the thirty-four-year-old.
Ruthie Munder she was also taken from the Nir Oz kibbuz, with some family members.
Ohad Munder, 9 years old on October 23rd, while he was a prisonerhad been the subject of various appeals for his release.
Karen Munder she is Ohad’s mother and was kidnapped with her family from the Nir Oz kibbutz, where she was visiting. An uncle had been killed in the attack.
Adina Moshe she was taken in Nir Oz by Hamas militiamen who shot at the door of the safe room until they managed to break it down, killing her husband.
Yaffa Adar, 85 years old, is one of the founders of the Nir Oz kibbuz and was kidnapped from there. She saw herself in a video close to the kidnappers.
Emilia Aloni and Daniel Alonidaughter and mother aged 4 and 45, were kidnapped and immediately seen in videos recorded by Hamas.
Hanna Peri79 years old, from Nirim, an immigrant from South Africa, was also taken with various health problems.
The freed people were immediately visited
“The Israeli government welcomes the return of our citizens.” This is what the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said after the arrival in the country of the first 13 freed Israeli hostages. “The Israeli government is committed to returning all hostages and missing persons,” the statement adds, as reported by the Times of Israel. “Our citizens underwent an initial medical examination – we read again – and their families were informed by the officials in charge of their return”.
