According to Rauhala, the substance does not occur in nature. However, it is possible to find the substance in foods familiar to Finns.
“It has been reported that clomiphene has been used in the treatment of poultry. The substance is used, among other things, to increase egg laying.”
As a result, the substance can be found in eggs.
Rauhala does not comment on the prevalence of clomiphene as a doping agent.
“I can’t say with certainty that Finns have failed the subject before.”
