The US House of Representatives approved a draft aid to Israel without mentioning Ukraine
The US House of Representatives approved a separate bill to provide assistance to Israel without mentioning Ukraine, reports RIA News with reference to the voting results.
266 members of the Republican-controlled legislature spoke in favor of this decision, and 196 congressmen were against it.
The initiative received support in the House of Representatives amid statements by Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer. He announced that the upper house, controlled by his party, would not consider the bill without allocating aid to Ukraine and would present its own version.
Earlier it became known that US President Joe Biden would use the right of veto if the US Congress passes a bill to help only Israel, without support from Ukraine. This was announced by the coordinator for strategic communications at the White House National Security Council, John Kirby.
