Federal deputy Carla Zambelli (PL-SP) stated, this Tuesday, 24, that she asked hacker Walter Delgatti Neto for the address of the minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) Alexandre de Moraes so that her mother could send a letter to the magistrate to “raise awareness” about processes in which the parliamentarian was investigated. However, at that time, Rita Luzia Zambelli Salgado published posts on her Facebook that offended her and called for Moraes’ impeachment.
This Monday, the 23rd, the G1 portal released two audios where Zambelli asks Delgatti what the minister’s residence address would be. “Hey Walter, no address for Brasília appears, right? I needed the address here in Brasília”, said the deputy in a six-second audio. “No, it can’t be, because a block is a building, and he must live in a house in Lago Sul, something like that. It must be a STF thing. This should probably be in the STF files as a house… type house… functional, understand?”, stated the parliamentarian in another 18-second recording.
Still on Monday, Zambelli’s defense had denied having made the request to Delgatti. This Tuesday, the 24th, the parliamentarian changed her version and said that she wanted to find out Moraes’ address so that Rita Luiza could send a letter to the minister. “My mother had written a letter to Alexandre de Moraes and wanted to deliver that letter. I said not to send it to the STF to avoid harm, and she said the right thing to do was to send it to his house”, said the deputy to the G1 portal.
The audios were sent by Zambelli in November last year, after the defeat of former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL), an ally of the parliamentarian. During that period, Rita Luiza, who also identifies herself as a Bolsonarist on social media, posted insulting posts directed at the former minister.
On October 13 last year, Zambelli’s mother shared news about a statement by Moraes about the harassment of voters by businesspeople. Rita Luiza called the minister a “m….”, “a head….”, “a banana in the hands of the left” and an “idiot sellout”. The post was shared by the federal deputy on her Instagram, with the caption: “This is my mother… #Pride!”
The following day, Rita Luiza shared a digital petition made by Bolsonaro supporters that called for the impeachment of the magistrate for alleged “violations of freedom of the press and expression”.
In other posts on October 24th and November 20th, Zambelli’s mother again attacked Moraes, calling him “bald” and “shit-headed…”. During the anti-democratic attacks on January 8, Rita Luzia shared on her profile a live feed of a supporter of former president Jair Bolsonaro invading the National Congress.
Zambelli’s mother said that Brazilians would feel ‘ashamed’ if the Armed Forces ‘saluted’ Lula
In addition to attacks on the magistrate, Zambelli’s mother published posts questioning the conduct of the Armed Forces after Lula’s victory. The military received demands from Bolsonaristas to promote an intervention. On November 28, Rita Luiza said that Brazilians would feel “shame” if the military “saluted the mollusk”. Along with the post, Carla Zambelli’s mother shared a video that received false information alerts on Facebook.
“FFAA [Forças Armadas], are you going to make it cheap? Are you going to salute the mollusk? Have you ever thought about what Brazilians will feel for you, besides shame?”, stated the parliamentarian’s mother.
O Estadão contacted Carla Zambelli and Rita Luzia Zambelli Salgado, but did not receive a response until the publication of this text. The space is open to demonstrations.
