On the evening of Tuesday, October 24, 2023, the House of Poetry at the Department of Culture in Sharjah organized a poetry evening performed by the poets Saad Abdel Radi, from Egypt, Anas Al Hajjar, from Syria, and Abdulaziz Lou, from Senegal, in the presence of the poet Muhammad Al Buraiki, director of the House of Poetry, and a number of poetry and culture lovers. The poet Saad Abdel Radi opened the readings with a poem that exuded emotion among its verses. The poet Anas Al-Hajjar began his readings with a poetic statement bearing the title of loyalty and appreciation for the role of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah in supporting poetry and poets, through the verse of poetry with clear, deep verses with beautiful meanings.
Then he learned about the poet and his staying up late on the balcony of his poetry, his crying over yesterday, and his remembrance of his groans, which are translated by letters, causing ears of feeling to fall on hearts, and caravans of images swimming in the imagination.
The poetry readings were concluded by the Senegalese poet Abdelaziz Lou, who began distracted from Cain’s concerns with his poem, which calls for spreading reassurance, calm and security in the soul, and lights its candles for a life that leaves behind and transcends memories.
He read a text carrying a strong emotion, blooming in the spring of the poem, green with branches of meaning, floating in the spaces of manifestation.
