Giorgia Meloni and migrants
Migrants, the nine new CPRs ready in two years. Here is the government’s more than 20 million project
Georgie Melons is working on the project on management of irregular migrants who land in Italy. Check a “secret” plan for the construction of new ones Cpri detention and repatriation centers. The idea – Il Domani reveals – is to realize circular modular structures, like prisons. They will be nine in total. The locations selected by Matteo Piantedosi and Guido Crosetto also emerge: from Ferrara to Castel Volturno until Bolzano and Aulla in Tuscany. Each will cost at least two million euros and will have a circular shape. With housing modules to assemble and a Panopticon. That is, the embodiment of total surveillance. It will take two years to make them. AND costs will greatly exceed those expected by the decree establishing them.

The places – continues Il Domani – already have an official list. According to the plans, two buildings will be transformed into Cpr a Turin and Milan. In Bolzano, however, the southern suburbs were chosen, near the hamlet of San Giacomo. In Liguria there are two locations: Diano Castello in the province of Imperia and the former Piave barracks in Albenga in the Savona area. In Tuscany the CPR could be built on the outskirts of Aulla, in the province of Massa Carrara. In Emilia Romagna there is Ferrara in the area of the former military airport. In Marche the experts indicated Falconara Marittima. And they also appear in the list Catanzaro, Castel Volturno and Brindisi. In the Caserta area we are thinking of an area between Grazianise and Villa Literno. In Brindisi we are thinking about the former Cara area.
