Lukoil announced the death of the chairman of the board of directors of the company, Nekrasov.
Russian oil company Lukoil reported about the death of Chairman of the Board of Directors Vladimir Nekrasov at the age of 66 years. According to the preliminary conclusion of doctors, he died as a result of acute heart failure.
Nekrasov was elected head of the company after the death of the previous chairman, Ravil Maganov, who on September 1, 2022 fell from a window on the façade of the main building of the Central Clinical Hospital (CDB) and died.
Then the investigation did not establish the fact of suicide or outside intervention. The businessman was undergoing a routine examination due to a long-standing pathology; he did not leave a suicide note, and there were no surveillance cameras in the place where he fell.
Nekrasov worked in the oil and gas industry for almost 50 years. He started as a repairman and from there he rose to the position of general director of the key production company Lukoil – Western Siberia. For his labor achievements, he was awarded the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, IV degree, and the Order of Honor.
Lukoil is one of the largest Russian oil companies. It ranks second in terms of oil production; the company manages four oil refineries in Russia – in Perm, Volgograd, Nizhny Novgorod and Ukhta, and a large network of gas stations.
