The new Fiat Topolino was officially unveiled in Turin, with the Italian brand bringing the iconic nickname given by customers to one of its historic models back to the road. This is the brand’s entry into urban micro-mobility, with an electric quadricycle that takes full advantage of the synergies of the Stellantis group, sharing the technical characteristics with Citroen Ami. However, unlike its French twin, the Fiat Topolino shows a more decisive and refined character, with various references to Made in Italy and the Dolce Vita. After giving you a preview of the debut of this car, here are some curiosities about the new battery-powered quadricycle from the Turin brand.
1. Italian style
Although produced in Kenitra, Morocco, the Fiat Topolino aims to underline its roots and its strong link with Italy. Outside the passenger compartment, for example, there is the tricolor, with only one available livery, Verde Vita, which with its pastel hue recalls the models of the Turin brand’s past. A bond that also returns in the chrome and round headlights.
2. Simple range, lots of gadgets
Only two versions are available for the Fiat Topolino, the standard “closed” one and the Topolino Dolce Vita, an open variant with a folding canvas roof and no doors, where a cord delimits the space in the passenger compartment. A single color available as previously mentioned, a single shape of the rims but various options. From the hand shower for days at the beach, to the Bluetooth speaker, up to the USB fan or the comfortable seat covers that become a beach towel.
3. Fiat Topolino can be purchased online
In addition to the classic dealership method, the Italian brand’s electric quadricycle can be purchased entirely digitally, by configuring your vehicle on the brand’s dedicated portal and finalizing the purchase from the comfort of your own home, even choosing the home delivery option.
4. Fiat Topolino can be driven from the age of 14
Like Citroen Ami and Opel Rocks-e, Fiat Topolino can also be driven with the A1 license for mopeds. The powertrain is also composed of a 6 kW, 8 HP electric motor and a 5.4 kWh battery which guarantee a range of 75 km and the possibility of reaching a top speed of 45 km/h. Designed to simplify urban mobility, the new Fiat Topolino can be recharged with infrastructures of up to 5 kW, with full energy being consumed in less than 4 hours.
5. One model for everyone
This model therefore aims at Gen Z but also does not disdain a wider clientele. As a micro-mobility solution it is aimed at a wide audience, with an accessible solution available in installments of 39 euros per month or with a single solution starting from 9,890 euros.
