Who doesn’t have a cell phone nowadays? Currently having a smartphone is almost essential for millions of people, due to the enormous number of things that can be done with these mobile devices, so it is important to know What are the electronic applications that we have downloaded and installed that consume the most battery of these little gadgets.
Without a doubt, one of the great debts that the different cell phone manufacturers have towards their users is the issue of the battery, since this never seems to be enough to cover the demand for use by people.
Thus, while we wait for technology companies to develop more powerful batteries, it is worth knowing what applications you have installed on your smartphone and that make the battery not yield so much due to its high consumption.
In accordance with PClouda Swedish company focused on cloud storage, which carried out a study titled “Secret Phone Killers in 2021”, the following are the apps that consume the most smartphone battery:
- Fitbit and Verizon: 92%
- Uber and Skype: 87%
- Facebook and Airbnb: 82%
- Instagram: 79%
- Tinder, Bumble, Snapchat, WhatsApp, Zoom, YouTube, Booking.com, Amazon and Telegram: 77%.
- LinkedIn and Microsoft Teams: 72%
- Twitter: 69%
- Shazam and Spotify: 67%
- Pinterest: 64%
- Amazon Prime, Netflix and TikTok: 62%
- Duolingo, SoundCloud and Uber Eats: 56%
As we can see, many of the social media apps and services that we use every day are responsible for the fact that we have to constantly connect our mobile device to the current of electricity.
It is worth mentioning that in order to determine which were the electronic applications that used up the battery the most, the European company analyzed almost 100 popular apps among Android and iPhone users, in addition to their permissions, functions, use of location, camera, and battery.
Therefore, technology experts have advised stopping the use of applications in the background, since these, even if the person is not using them, continue to run and, therefore, use up the battery.
