The situation with the supply of spare parts began to stabilize since the autumn of last year. Parts for a number of car brands have become cheaper, the head of the Russian Union of Insurers (RSA) Evgeny Ufimtsev said in an interview with Izvestia.
According to him, such brands include Audi, Hyundai, Kia, Mitsubishi and Nissan. By June 2023, the cost of many in-demand auto parts has fallen by 30-40% in a year.
“The main traffic of components now does not come from parts produced in unfriendly countries and brought in a roundabout way. A significant part of the spare parts that enter the country are manufactured in friendly countries, such as China and the United Arab Emirates, under license and at their factories. Such parts are supplied to the Russian Federation without violations, and the sanctions do not prevent this, ”explained Evgeny Ufimtsev.
He added: at the same time, there are individual brands for which it is difficult to get components. Often this is due to the fact that they are not so massive in the Russian market, and it is unprofitable to bring components for them in large quantities.
The average level of prices for spare parts has almost stabilized and exceeds the values of the beginning of 2022 by 21–25%. Even the latest changes in the ruble exchange rate have not yet affected the cost, Ufimtsev emphasized.
