Japanese island of Hokkaido evacuated over North Korean missile threat
A ballistic missile launched by North Korea may fall in the area of the Japanese island of Hokkaido. This is reported RIA News.
The Japanese government announced the evacuation of residents of Hokkaido due to the threat of a North Korean missile falling. At the same time, it was previously reported that it fell outside the country’s exclusive economic zone.
In connection with the launch, an emergency headquarters was created at the office of the Japanese Prime Minister.
Earlier it was reported that North Korea launched a missile towards the Sea of Japan. According to the Yonhap news agency, Pyongyang has not made contact with Seoul within the military line for the sixth day.
Prior to this, in April, the DPRK conducted another test of the Haeil 2 underwater drone capable of carrying a nuclear warhead. Armament testing was carried out from 4 to 7 April.
